As International Community Manager for our upcoming multiplatform titles, you will be responsible for creating and fostering passionate communities from our global headquarter in Munich, Germany, with a focus on our upcoming AAA open world shooter Homefront: The Revolution.

For you, the community will always come first, and you will act as the community’s champion within Deep Silver’s organization. You will work closely with the Senior Community Manager at Deep Silver, the studio Community Manager at Dambuster Studios, and the headquarters marketing team to design and execute innovative industry-leading global community strategies. You will make sure our fans’ voices and perspectives are heard throughout the organization, and provide strategic direction to local community managers.

You are someone who does not only live and breathe the leading community channels, but also someone who can handle the offline world of face-to-face communication, while being a center of calm during the most turbulent of times.

 

Responsibilities

Primary

  • Help create and execute a cutting edge global community strategy primarily for Homefront: The Revolution, as well as proving support for other titles where necessary.
  • Lead all global community engagement on channels such as forums, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Reddit, and Twitch.
  • Plan and structure community projects with a long-term vision on both strategic and tactical levels
  • Plan and lead online activities, offline events, image and video community asset creation, and coordinate with territory offices in Europe and North America.
  • Identify and engage key influencers and coordinate with PR in building a strong influencer program.
  • Set up organizational structures and systems for streamlining feedback collection from the community back to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with PR, brand marketing, digital marketing, and internal art departments to ensure all external communication is not just synchronized, but working in synergetic harmony.
  • Work closely with stakeholders in marketing, QA, development, and product management departments to get the right information to the right people at the right time.
  • Be the community’s voice within Deep Silver internally, and Deep Silver’s voice to the community externally
  • Adapt fluidly to changes in the online communication landscape

Secondary

  • Support the Senior Community Manager with other projects and titles where necessary.
  • Interact positively and effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, as well as with external partners.
  • Research and stay up to date on changes in the social media and livestreaming landscape to ensure our global and local teams are always able to adapt.

 

Requirements:

Primary skills and abilities:

  • You are a passionate player with a wide interest in genres and platforms.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in communications, marketing, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant industry-level experience in a similar role.
  • Native or bi-lingual fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to execute tasks independently with the highest quality and within time constraints.
  • Being a motivated team player who is able to sustain the communication between internal and external partners.
  • You know your way around PC hardware.
  • Proficiency with image and video editing software is preferred.
  • Able to work individually, but always as a team player with a big picture mindset.
  • Proven experience with all aspects of contemporary social media usage.
  • Strong communication and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proficiency with MS.
  • Able to always anticipate the effects of any action three steps ahead.

Beneficial further experience:

  • Fluency in other European languages
  • Experience with forum and CRM software suites
  • Experience with the Steam Community Hub systems
  • Experience with video content production
  • Experience with free-to-play communities and eSports

 

Job Status

  • Full time, permanent

Deep Silver/Koch Media is looking for an experienced, zombie-loving, covert operative/superhero with a global perspective to join our award-winning marketing team. As the Senior Global Brand Manager you would need to live and breathe innovation and ideas, and have a successful track record of leading global brand teams to quantifiable success.

We are looking for a rockstar candidate with:

  • 5+ years of Consumer-Oriented Marketing Experience
  • A passion and proven resume in games or digital entertainment
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant marketing discipline
  • Ability to bridge external and internal teams seamlessly via any communication platform necessary
  • Deep knowledge of various avenues to bolster globally beloved, multi-million unit selling franchises including established traditional channels and the latest experimental ones

Your role as a global brand leader means you will:

  • Live, eat and breathe your brand. Functioning as the global lead you will be the point person for all territories regarding constant internal brand communication
  • Create and curate global brand plans, execute on multiple levels to reach the maximum, relevant audience for each brand
  • Develop, negotiate and achieve success across various ongoing timelines from initiation to final accountability and reporting on each campaign
  • Oversee development of marketing assets and strategies for each brand, including supporting of the overall Deep Silver global brand
  • Motivate a strong team dynamic throughout global campaigns
