The Assistant Art Director reports directly to the Art Director and supports him in guiding and refining a strong artistic vision for Deep Silver´s most exciting projects. They ensure that a consistent artistic style is maintained and help achieve thrilling titles that resonate with our target audiences within given constraints. This position has a strong management focus and comes with a broad range of responsibilities. It demands strong cooperation with all departments including: Art, Engineering, Design, Audio, and Marketing to ensure the art vision is shared by everyone. Therefore, we seek an achiever, who combines creative talent with strong communication skills and an engaging personality.

This job will require travels between our Munich headquarters and our development studios.

Responsibilities

Primary:

  • Support defining the artistic style and creative vision of games
  • Drive the art vision throughout the development process
  • Establish, communicate and manage department objectives to meet project schedules
  • Set up and oversee production pipelines (both large and small)
  • Work independently on major design initiatives
  • Contribute to a collaborative environment with all disciplines
  • Collaborate with game play designers, story writers, game writers, and other internal and external project members to deliver on a unique gaming experience from high concept to complete GDD
  • Support the producer in setting clear creative goals and deliverables; focus efforts across the Producing Team to ensure a cohesive experience across the game and service
  • Ensure accuracy of art scope, schedule, and budget within the Producing Team
  • Create formal and informal critique, and provide effective feedback for individual and team development and the development of the product
  • Inspire people and foster a creative, collaborative environment across all stakeholder groups

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Research industry trends in game development in regards to art design and technologies
  • Maintain the art section of our research database
  • Develop good and productive relationships with external partners

Requirements

Primary skills and abilities

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Art from an accredited school
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills
  • A passion for video games
  • Conceptualization skills such as sketching, illustrating, drafting and painting
  • Experience with lighting, composition, color studies, painting and storyboards
  • Familiarity with industry standard tools and software
  • Ability to work in a broad range of visual styles
  • Ability to respond elegantly to difficult creative changes, even late in the process
  • Patience and a strong sense of humor
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written

Beneficial further experience

  • Three or more years’ experience in the game industry
  • Two published games (credited)
  • Experience in art recruiting
  • Experience in working with outsourced art teams and art integration

The Executive Producer is responsible for overseeing all phases of development from the concept phase to release for several titles. He / she ensures the creative vision is understood and met and the projects are completed successfully on time and in budget. The Executive Producer supports and guides the team to ensure project expectations are met while external and internal stakeholders are satisfied in the best possible way. In this demanding and very responsible role you will not only take our games, but also your team to the next level.

Responsibilities

Primary:

  • Ensure the quality of the products and overall user experience while staying within budget and time; be the creative vision holder on IP(s) and several titles at a time
  • Effectively communicate the core experience of the games to internal and external stakeholders, and help ensure that our products leverage the ideas and resources of the larger organization
  • Support the producers in enhancing our organizational structure and processes to help the team produce high quality work efficiently on time and on budget
  • Research and communicate game market trends, patterns, and customer requirements and stay on top of technological developments
  • Ensure strong linkage with Marketing to position the titles effectively

Your mission

You will support the department in all legal issues, especially the function is to address the legal matters raised and encountered by the other departments or sub-departments or affiliate companies of the Group as well as any other legal matters that are assigned by the Senior Legal Counsel. This role is accountable to the General Counsel however is also accountable to the various other areas as assigned.

Your profile

  • Fully qualified lawyer in Germany with outstanding legal qualification (at least “befriedigend” in each German State Exam)
  • Experienced in trademark and copyright law
  • Ideally two years legal experience in an international law firm or as in-house counsel
  • Experience with US law (i.e. LLM) is a strong advantage, at least some on-site experience in an US corporation or law firm
  • Excellent English language skills that include the ability to draft and negotiate contracts
  • Strong commercial background and technology affinity
  • Solid verbal and written communication and negotiation skills

You will be responsible for implementing successful local marketing and PR campaigns for your own assigned product portfolio. This position comes with a broad range of responsibilities in the field of marketing and PR. Responsibilities

  • Create, execute, manage and evaluate Benelux Marketing plans aligned to global strategies
  • Develop communication plans, PR, Joint promotions, events presence and in-store activities
  • Drive local community activities through social media and owned platforms
  • Liaise with external agencies including advertising, PR and partners.
  • Responsible for the financial coordination, handling, reporting and evaluation of marketing and PR plans

  • A pro-active approach and a genuine interest in and knowledge of Video Games
  • Computer literate with knowledge / experience of social media management
  • A strong marketing knowledge, understanding of media, publicity and promotions.
  • Knowledge of the Dutch and Belgian retail landscape.
  • Has a very good commercial mind set and is ambitious.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English both speaking & writing. French is a pre.
