Deep Silver / Koch Media invests in Infernum

Media company's strategic investment in online games specialist announced today

Koch Media, an international producer and distributor of digital entertainment products, in conjunction with the publishing label Deep Silver is - in the interests of increasing capital - acquiring a significant minority stake in Infernum Productions AG, the online games developer and publisher from Berlin.

Founded in 2011, Infernum Productions AG develops and markets free online games ("free-to-play") in Europe and North America. With the first release Brick-Force and more than 1.5 million players to date, Infernum has already successfully secured a market position. For Koch Media, the decision to invest strategically in the company constitutes an investment in the rapidly growing market of free-to-play games. Meanwhile, Infernum gains an experienced partner for international rollouts and distribution of future projects, for example the recently licensed triple-A MMO Dragon's Prophet and the in-house production Project: Theralon. Both companies will profit from their complementary focuses in the games sector and harness synergies while continuing to operate independently.
